Traditional Curbside Collection on Regularly Scheduled Residential Service Day: May 11 – 15, 2026
EDCO’s Coronado Community Cleanup Event allows residents to place unwanted bulk items curbside that are too large or heavy to put inside collection carts, such as broken appliances, water heaters, furniture, old mattresses (please wrap mattresses before setting out – special mattress disposal bags can be purchased at hardware stores or on their websites), and other miscellaneous bulky household clutter.
Excess yard waste will also be collected during the Community Cleanup Event. You may use additional old standard-size waste cans (for this special event only). Tied bundles will also be collected curbside. No loose material will be collected. Please do not use plastic bags, as this as this contaminates the loads. Paper bags are accepted.
Debris from contractors, landscapers, or commercial businesses will NOT be accepted. No Hazardous Waste Accepted.
This year’s cleanup will take place the week of May 11th – 15th on your regularly scheduled residential curbside collection day (please put items out on the curb with your regular collection carts by 6 a.m.).
FREE MULCH and Compost! Once again, EDCO will have mulch and compost available for self-load/self-haul at the corner of A Avenue and 2nd Street, by the Little League field, for Coronado residents only. Come early and bring a shovel to get your compost while it lasts! If you plan to haul your compost in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.
